| General situation of the investment |
| TShuikoushan lead-smelt-smoke harnessing project is in the second group of national debt technical reform projects ratified in license (1999) No. 961 with the investment of the National Economy and Commerce Committee and National Plan Committee. The State Economy and Commerce Committee gave an official reply of feasibility study report (Guojingtouzi (2002) No.415) in May 2002. China Non-ferrous Work Type Design Study Institute completed the primary design and has been passed examination. The project was reformed according to ¡°SKS¡± method. Project site is fixed at Songbai Town, Changning City, occupying an area of 30 hectares approximately.
Total project investment: RMB 317,217,000 yuan.
Including: fixed assets investment is RMB 281,691,000 yuan, basic circulating fund is RMB 35,526,000 yuan.

Smelting production scale of crude lead is 80,000 tons/year. Sulfuric acid production scale matching with lean-smelt-gas control is 80,000 tons/year (100%H2SO4 total). It also retrieves zinc in the furnace cinder synthetically.
Crude lead is sent to present lead electrolysis system for further process to produce electrolysis lead. And anode slime is disposed through noble metal retrieve to produce gold ingot and silver ingot,

Secondary products: Sulfuric acid 78976 tons/year (100%H2SO4 total)

| Environmental protection condition |
The project is an environmental control project. The State General Bureau of Environmental Protection gave official reply to the environment evaluation report of the project (Huanhan (2000) No. 326)
Crude lead production adopts advanced ¡°SKS¡± smelting method and sulfuric acid production adopts the process of ¡°Double transfer and double absorb¡±. Lead-smelt-gas is controlled comprehensively. It reduced the discharge of 33,000 tons of SO2 to the air every year. Tail gas discharge of the gas is lower than 370ppm after acid making. All these provide assurance for qualified discharge after the project has been put into production, which contributes great on improving regional environment quality. |
| Sales income after the project is put into production is RMB 554,468,000 yuan. Total cost in a year is RMB 463,888,000 yuan. Total profit of every year is RMB 67,406,000 yuan and after-tax profit is RMB RMB 45,162,000 yuan. |
| Engineering construction condition and project-complete time |
The lead-smelt-gas control project broke earth officially on April 16, 2003. The project develops quite smoothly now. ¡°Three Supplies and One Level¡± project has been completed by the end of July 2003. The bid invitation work of the civil engineering construction and important equipments is in conducting at present.
